Polyamide Fine Composite Powder PFC04-a GBx
Innov’PA 3450 GBx is a fine composite powder based on polyamide 11 (thermoplastic), and is specially formulated to function on rapid prototyping systems by laser sintering (SLS) or radiation. It enables production of 3D models and functional parts in additive manufacturing with long life cycles, excellent chemical resistance with an superior impact strength compare to other charged polyamides.
This charged polyamide 11 powder is used to print end-use products in a natural cream and light grey colour, and is based on renewable resources. The main market for this product is end-use parts for mechanical engineering and especially large or massive Parts.
Innov’PA 3450 GBx is based on a dedicated formula with improved mechanical characteristics and SLS process stability. This material also has excellent ductility and resistance to shock. The combined improvements in mechanical properties give a better cohesion of layers, making for more plastic behavior and responsive mechanics of the parts manufactured. The parts made with Innov’PA 3450 GBx can rival mould-injected products, such as as charged Polyamide 6 (PA6-MD30) and some charged Polypropylenes (PP-GB).
The mechanical properties are very near the general purpose properties requested by service bureaus and OEMs according to the different parts being built with each job.
The Glass Beads charge (GB) allows for the reduction of shrinkage and curl. These innovative properties make it possible to use the Innov’PA 3450 GBx in rapid manufacturing, building very large parts with great accuracy. This means that the repeatability of the product is much higher than with other materials.
The process window for this material is the largest on the market for a charged Polyamide powder. All of the powder remaining after a build can be re-used after sifting. Because of the adapted formula of Innov’PA 3450 GBx, the refreshing factor for regeneration is highly effective.
